The security forces in an operation in Chaman, arrested 36 alleged kidnappers and recovered an abducted trader.
Deputy Commissioner Qilla Abdullah Khudaidad Ahmedzai talking to media said that the police, Levies and counter-terrorism force launched a joint operation against hostage takers at Boghra Road Kalli Miralzai and recovered an abducted trader Abddul Nafay, who was kidnapped three days ago.
The hostage takers had set up their hideouts in populated areas in Miralzai, the DC said. Thirty-six abductors were arrested and five stolen motorbikes were also recovered from the dens of the abductors, the officials said.
The forces personnel set the hideouts of the kidnappers on fire in which two vehicles and other articles being used by the abductors were gutted.
The arrested suspects have been transferred to Quetta for further investigation.
The protesting tribesmen who had blocked Quetta-Chaman highway as a protest for three days opened the road for traffic after recovery of the kidnapped trader.
