The Anti-Corruption Court (ATC) Monday (today) has issued non-bailable arrest warrants of three Afghanistan nationals and three National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials for issuing National Identity Cards(NICs) to foreign nationals.
The citizens of the neighbouring country whose arrests were ordered are named Bashir, Shabbir and Shabana. While, officials of NADRA are Faisal, Hidayat and Abdul Qadir.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reported that the accused Nadra officials issued NICs to around 256 Afghanistan nationals in 2016.

Earlier Afghanistan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansoor was killed in a drone strike in Balochistan’s Nushki area but an identity card by name Muhammad Wali was recovered from the site.
It was revealed later on that Afghanistan Taliban chief was registered under name Muhammad Wali and was named in voter list of Chaman district.
Authorities have started tightening the noose around Nadra officials for issuing fake cards.
