Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has asked for a reply from the federal government and other concerned officials over alleged corruption in National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) till June 8.

The hearing was conducted by Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza during which, the Plaintiff’s Lawyer Azhar Siddique told the court that a plea pertaining to Nadra corruption case was filed in 2010 but no proceeding has been made so far.

He said fake identity cards are being prepared under Nadra but the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has not launched any action in this regard until now.

The claimant urged the court to order stern action against the culprits and directed the officials to start the investigation.

The court approved the petition for hearing and summoned reply from the federation and Nadra officials till June 8.
