Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday sought reply from federal government and other concerned officials over alleged corruption in National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) till June 8.
LHC Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza was hearing the case during which the plaintiff’s lawyer Azhar Siddique told the court that a plea pertaining to NADRA corruption case was filed in 2010 but no proceeding has been made so far.
He said fake identity cards are being prepared under NADRA but Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar has not launched any action so far.
The applicant urged the court to order stern action against the culprits, directing the officials to start investigation. The court approved the petition for hearing and summoned reply from federation and NADRA officials till June 8.
