Justice Saeeduddin Nasir on Monday took oath as a permanent judge of the Sindh High Court (SHC).
SHC Chief Justice Sajjad Ali Shah administered the oath to Justice Nasir in the SHC premises. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by the SHC judges, representatives of the SHC bar association and senior lawyers.
Justice Nasir was appointed as an additional SHC judge on May 30, 2014. After his oath, the number of SHC judges has now increased to 33 against the sanctioned strength of 40.
The SHC chief justice had sent names of seven judges to the judicial commission for vacant positions but these posts are yet to be filled.
