Interior Ministry tasks federal police with collecting data of public servants residing in govt houses

The Interior Ministry has assigned the Islamabad Police to collect all data about the public servants residing in government’s houses.

As per information, it was decided in a meeting of interior ministry held yesterday to monitor suspicious persons in the federal capital. It was also decided that a combing operation should be conducted in government houses to collect data and information about the public servants and tenants.

It was also decided in the meeting that staff colony of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has become a hub of criminals and the security situation there is also dissatisfactory.

According to sources, data would also be collected about the daily visitors of guest houses and hotels and will be sent to concerned police stations.

Sources told the interior ministry that hotels and guest houses located in the jurisdiction of concerned police stations give monthly extortion to them in order to carry out their illegal activities.

The interior ministry has given the task to special branch and other secret agencies to compile a comprehensive report in this regard.
