Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday expressed concern over Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s decision to chair a meeting of the federal cabinet from London via video link.

“It is a very deplorable decision. Nowhere in any democratic country of the world, government’s affairs are run in this manner,” Khan told reporters.

He warned that there was serious threat of foreign spying if Prime Minister Sharif addressed the meeting via unsafe video link.

“It will not be difficult for spy agencies to have access to the meeting,” he said.

He said that national security was being compromised due to Prime Minister Sharif’s “suspicious” illness.
