Foolproof arrangements are being finalised to ensure security during Ramadanul Mubarik, said Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi.
Rawalpindi District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mahmood Gondal and City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi jointly chaired the District Peace Committee meeting held at Hassan Raza Complex to finalise the security arrangements for Ramadan.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Operation, Divisional SPs, SDPOs, members of District Peace Committee, religious scholars, Mutawal (guardians) of Imam Barghas from across the district and representatives of Anjuman-e-Tajran including Allama Azhaar Bukhari, Shoukat Jaffri, Qari Saif ullah Safi, Allama Iqbal Rizvi, Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran President Shahid Ghafoor Paracha, Sheikh Hafeez, Sheikh Saddique and others.
The DCO appealed to the religious scholars to play their role in maintaining law and order during the upcoming holy month.
The members on this occasion presented their proposals, while the religious scholars and Anjuman-e-Tajran’s representatives thanked the DCO and CPO for their role in maintaining law and order in the area.
