Muhammad Wali, a person who was killed in a US drone attack on a car in Nushki on Sunday, was later identified as Afghan Taliban chief Mullah Akhtar Mansour.

Sources indicated that Mullah Mansour’s identity card showing him as Muhammad Wali and a resident of Karachi was made after paying a heavy amount of bribe.

Muhammad Wali’s passport and identification card were renewed in 2005. Action against DCO Hafiz Tahir and Tehsildar Rafique Tareen has been taken on the basis of the data provided by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
