I am a resident of Malir and would like to bring to the notice of the authorities that work being carried out on the main Malir Road is causing great discomfort to the users. I am referring to the section of road that leads from Malir Court, goes all the way to the Malir 15 Bridge and beyond.
The whole road section is in a very bad shape as it has been dug up at many points and traffic is being disrupted in a very serious manner. The result is that the road users driving cars and motorcycles and those travelling in buses and rickshaws reach their places of work very late and the same happens when they are coming back in the evenings.
It can well be understood that all this chaos is also having a harmful impact on the health of the people due to the dust and pollution. It is a good thing that the repair works have been undertaken by the Sindh government and I am sure their intentions are good but the headache this is causing to the people is not fair. Perhaps, the government can work with more concentration if they make available an alternate route to the public and then focus on the repair works so that they can finish the project in lesser time.
