The law enforcement agencies (LEAs) arrested a terrorist of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) besides recovering explosives, hand grenades and bomb making material from his possession.
Sukkur SSP Amjad Sheikh said that during a targeted operation on Sunday, terrorist Abdul Jabbar Soomro, belonging to TTP (Noor Khan Group), was held with two kilogram explosives, hand grenades, detonators, ball bearings and material used in bomb making and suicide jackets. The detainee was serving as pesh imam in a mosque of Mehrabpur. He was alleged facilitator in suicide attack on Dr Ibrahim Jatoi in Shikarpur and was involved in other terrorist activities. The nabbed terrorist was shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation.
