Indian director Ram Gopal Varma recently insulted a female journalist on twitter over criticising his film.
Ram Gopal Varma has time and again made headlines for his rather controversial tweets.
The director’s recently released movie ‘Veerappan’ made it to the theatres and opened to mixed reviews by the critics. He shared positive reviews but got a bit harsh towards negative critics.
In lieu, a female journalist wasn’t really impressed with his film and this seems to have irked RGV. He took to social media and insulted her in a very crude way possible.
The director took a screen shot of her photo and posted it with the caption, “So as per your review “Veerappan” the film is as beautiful as your face.”
He further posted another tweet which read, “I am sorry for the content packaged in the intent but will not apologise for the intent behind the content.”
The director later deleted the tweets.
Later, RGV went on to blame Donald Trump for his behaviour. In the series of tweets, RGV did apologise for insulting a journalist and said that he got carried away. Further, he said that he is an ardent follower of Trump and hence, has some ounce of his personality.
