Bilawal House Media Cell on Sunday condemned some federal ministers for “trying to outsmart each other over Bhutto-bashing and posing themselves as replacement at a moment when their leader and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is awaiting open-heart surgery amid prayers by opponents including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and others”.

The statement from the Media Cell said:

“Federal Ministers Pervaiz Rashid, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Abid Sher Ali targeted Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in their speeches yesterday and portrayed themselves as if it is they who train the fish how to swim and birds how to fly.”

The statement said that Pervaiz Rashid had spent a large part of his life in admiring and even “flattering the Bhutto family” but now with the change of masters, he has started playing other parts with the hope that he may be considered for the post of prime minister.

“Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari always avoids personal criticism of opponents,” the statement said, and added, “But at a time when their prime minister is under treatment, these federal ministers are attempting to provoke him to worsen the situation. Photos published of these federal ministers in today’s newspaper prove the intentions of these people on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.”

Bilawal Bhutto’s Media Cell said that the party chairman planned for a “mild speech” for his Mirpur public meeting in the wake of the illness of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif “but his fake friends like these ministers don’t want him to undergo the operation peacefully”.
