Punjab traffic police recommends increasing fine for motorcyclists

The Punjab Traffic Police has recommended charging another Rs 100 to motorcyclists increasing the fine to Rs 300 for violating the law.
Approval from Punjab Assembly will be sought to enact the increased fine.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the recommendation to double the fines for motorists.
The traffic police have also recommended amendments to Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965.One of the recommendations includes charging the locals for expenses regarding new e-challan system along with the tickets.
