Witnesses on Saturday identified two workers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement as the attackers who had attacked Rangers post earlier this year.

The accused, Ahmed Hasan alias SP, and Ubaidullah, were produced before the judicial magistrate for the identification parade amid tight security. The witnesses were asked to identify the attackers after the real suspects were made to stand along with other dummy accused. The witnesses successfully identified both the accused.

Both the accused had spent 90-day in Rangers’ detention over their alleged involvement in offences which come within the ambit of Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. Earlier on Friday, the administrative judge of ATC handed over the accused to police on physical remand for five days.

According to the police, the suspects were involved in attacking a Rangers post on 12th of March 2016 within the limits of Zaman Town police station. They were also involved in many incidents of murder, attempted murder and other heinous crimes.
