Target killer Mohammad Shakil alias Baba, belonging to a political party, has admitted his involvement in the killing of 40 innocent people, a JIT report has disclosed.
Sources said that Shakil Baba had given all the details to the law enforcement agencies during investigation.
The JIT report said that the accused in 2008 had fired at the workers of opposition political party wherein a woman and a rickshaw driver were killed. In 2009, he killed two workers of Lyari gang war in Haideri and Bufferzone areas.
During tension between Pushtoon and Mohajir communities in March 2009, he was involved in the killing of nine Pashtoons in Bufferzone and Kati Pahari area and killed another six Pashtoons along with his six associates in Nazimabad areas in 2010. He was also behind the killing of a political worker Safdar Baloch with the cooperation of four associates.
The JIT said that Shakil alias Baba was involved in the killing of two workers of a banned religious organisation, former town nazim Liaquatabad Dr Parvez in KDA Chowrangi and firing at a school van of North Nazimabad in 2013 during which the driver was killed. Further investigation is in progress as more disclosures are expected.
