CTD arrests two more Afghan ‘spies’ in KP

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested two spies during a search operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday.

The CTD said the spies were Afghan citizens living in Pakistan with fake National Identity Cards (NIC). An initial investigation revealed both ‘spies’ had allegedly been working for a foreign intelligence agency.

An investigation is ongoing, the CTD said, adding that as progress is made, more sensitive information is expected.

The revelation comes a day after six Afghan spies were arrested in Balochistan.
