The Young Doctors Association (YDA) and Balochistan Paramedical Staff Association (PSA) joint protest has entered its second day in Quetta, as their members continued hunger strike outside the Quetta Press Club.
According to official sources, young doctors and the paramedical staff have been on a strike since Wednesday, in a bid to record their protest against alleged violence on the part of police officials.
While improved services structure, risk allowance and allotting a set quota in the Hajj medical policy are also in their charter of demands.
On Wednesday, the young doctors and the paramedical staff rallied in Quetta with their demands, marched from Civil Hospital and staged a sit-in near the Manan Chowk.
Later, officials of the Balochistan chief minister house met a delegation of the protesting doctors.
However, YDA and PSA representatives vowed to continue the hunger strike until all of their demands were met.
