Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Syeda Shehla Raza has been provided a bullet proof vehicle.
Shehla Raza had applied for the bulletproof vehicle eight years back when she had received death threats from a militant outfit for speaking out against them.
The deputy speaker said she submitted the application to the provincial government after 2008 general elections for the provision of a bulletproof vehicle as she was receiving threatening phone calls from a terrorist group.
Shehla Raza said that obtaining bulletproof vehicles was an unpopular move, however, for politicians who opposed terrorism, it was a necessity.
“Slain Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Benazir Bhutto opposed the terrorist elements and sacrificed her life for future of our country,” she said.
