Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif Thursday (today) has arrived in Quetta for a day-long visit to the Southern Command Headquarters where he will be briefed about the security situation in Balochistan.
While addressing to the participants at the Staff College Gen Raheel said that Pakistan determined to confront the global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief will visit the Corps Headquarters where he will review the security situation in Balochistan and also take stock of the ongoing military operation in the province.
Earlier on Wednesday, General Sharif paid a visit to Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology (AFIO) and met with the intrepid soldiers who lost their eyesight during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
