Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to evolve a strategy to facilitate the filers and take strict measures against non-filers and tax evaders.
He was chairing a meeting on Thursday to review the latest position of revenue collection and budget-related proposals of the FBR.
He appreciated the hard work put in by the FBR team for formulating budget proposals and interaction with stakeholders. He said the government’s drive for economic growth must be kept in mind while finalising the proposals. FBR Chairman Nisar Mohammad Khan updated the meeting on the state of revenue collection. He said all out efforts were being made to achieve the revenue collection target of 3,104 billion rupees for the current fiscal year.
