An Accountability Court (AC) adjourned till June 1 hearing of Rs 462 billion corruption reference against former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain and others.
The corruption reference against Dr Asim Hussain, close aide to former president Asif Ali Zardari, came up before the AC for hearing on Thursday.
On the request of accused Abdul Rahim through an application, copies of all cases were provided to him by the NAB during hearing of the case.
The accused persons and their lawyers appeared in the court. The lawyers told the court that cases instituted against their clients were politically motivated.
The court ordered for filing report in respect of Dr Asim’s property on next hearing. When inquired by the court about his property, Dr Asim Hussain told that the NAB had more information than him about his property, therefore, details in this respect be sought from the Bureau. The court put off the hearing of the case till June 01.
