Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of skilled youth has started giving positive results.
The minister expressed these remarks while presiding over a meeting of the Punjab Skill Development Committee at Planning and Development Auditorium on Wednesday.
He said the Skill Development Programme has started giving positive results as technical institutions has achieved the target of 2015-16 for imparting vocational and technical education to the youth.
He said that the job-oriented Punjab Skill Development Strategy 2015-20 is also under process to ensure better governance, quality and demand driven training of provincial youth.
The minister directed the concerned secretaries and authorities to meet targets within the timeframe.
The meeting was informed that different departments will also give their recommendations and nominate members of their staff for skill training to enhance their capacity building.
