At least five suspected persons including an activist of banned outfit have been arrested during raids by police in different areas of Karachi.
On tip-off, police conducted a raid in a hideout of Pareedi area in Karachi and arrested an activist of banned terrorist outfit. Police claimed to have recovered explosives from suspects’ possession during the raid.
According to police, the detainee was identified as Muneer Ahmed and he was involved in extortion of money and facilitating terrorists. Meanwhile, police claimed to have arrested three accused persons involved in street crimes during a raid in Defence Darakshan. The detainees were wanted by police in murder, attempt to murder and dozens of other cases. Police said that weapons and ammunitions had been seized from the suspects during the raid. Meanwhile, police arrested an accused person in a raid conducted in Garden area of Karachi.
