Iranian Ambassador HE Honardoost has said that Iranian businessmen are keen to enhance business with their Pakistani counterparts so they should come forward and start joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts.

Talking to the newly-elected office bearers of Pak-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PIJCCI) including its President Wali Muhammad and Vice President Khursheed Barlas, Honardoost said that both the countries had deep-rooted brotherly relations which could be further promoted by developing economic ties in different sectors, said a press release issued on Sunday.

He congratulated new-office bearers of the PIJCCI and assured them all possible cooperation for further strengthening bilateral relations besides exploring new opportunities of trade and commerce.

He further said that lack of trade-related information was one of the biggest reasons of low trade volume between Pakistan and Iran. Wali Muhammad expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and appreciation of Honardoost who had offered his sincere support to the PIJCCI.

He further said that the joint chamber with the cooperation of businessmen of both countries would set new examples of trade promotion and investment. Barlas expressed that products of Pakistan and Iran were liked by the people of both countries and they had adequate opportunities to provide joint platform to showcase these products which could get export orders and joint ventures to increase the volume of trade between Pakistan and Iran.

He presented a memento of PIJCCI to Honardoost and assured that cordial relations among two countries would be further promoted.
