Islamabad is facing the worst kind of water crisis and even the Prime Minister’s House is being affected, it was revealed on Sunday.
According to details, several sectors of the capital have been facing severe potable water crisis for the last many days and on Saturday the water supply was also suspended to the Prime Minister’s House, Civil Secretariat and other official buildings and residences due to puncturing of a pipeline near the Secretariat.
The areas where the water supply has been suspended include Gulshan Jinnah, Gilgit-Baltistan House and Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA).
The CDA officials said Gulshan Jinnah has been facing the water crisis for the last 20 days and efforts are being made to overcome it.
On the other hand, the CDA and PWD officials are holding each other responsible for the negligence.
The residents of Gulshan-e-Jinnah met the minister of state for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) and informed him of the water supply situation. The minister assured them to resolve their grievances on an emergency basis.
The CDA officials said that water is being supplied to the Prime Minister’s House via tankers.
