The Lahore High Court issued a notice to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and others for May 26 on a petition challenging appointments of 39 board high-ups.
Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah issued the notice on a petition filed by Muhammad Naeem.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel submitted that Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad, Manager International Audit Fatima Afan, Director Security Ahsan Sadiq and other high-ups of PCB were appointed in violation of the merit.
He submitted that the posts were neither advertised nor the rules and regulations of the board were followed in the appointment process.
The counsel pleaded the court to set aside the appointments and high-ups should be restrained from work.
The court after hearing initial arguments issued notices and sought a reply from respondents till May 26.
