Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has targeted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan in a series of statements while speaking to media personnel on Friday.
Sanaullah said Imran Khan was among those people who whitened their black money during the Musharraf era.
“Khan took benefit of the Amnesty Scheme during Musharraf’s regime,” he said and questioned, “How can he then ask others for justifications? How can he ask the people to choose him as a leader?”
The minister said peaceful protests were the beauty of democracy whereas PTI’s sit-in protests were a nuisance. He also dismissed PTI’s public rally scheduled for Friday in Faisalabad.
Sanaullah said that the PTI was trounced in the 2013 general elections and it also suffered defeat in the local bodies’ elections.
Referring to recent incidents of women being abused in PTI rallies, Sanaullah said it was better for women to stay at home rather than participating in PTI gatherings.
