Former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iftikhar Hussain Shah has decided to join Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Shah announced that he is joining PTI while addressing a press conference with Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.
This comes a day after Raja Riaz, a senior PPP leader and former opposition leader in Punjab Assembly, joined the PTI during the party’s rally in Faisalabad.
Lieutenant General Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province (the then NWFP).
After his retirement from the Army in 2000, he was appointed as Minister for Communications and later became Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a position which he held for four and half years.
He also served as an Ambassador in Turkey.
