CDA set to begin work on three mega projects

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to start work on three mega projects immediately.

The civic agency has given the contract for construction of two interchanges on Islamabad Expressway, one at Khanna Pull and the other at Sohan, to the ZKB firm, the lowest bidder, which has agreed to carry out the work for Rs 2.18 billion, 25% less than the actual offer the CDA had floated.

With the construction of these two interchanges, the Islamabad Expressway will become signal-free from Zero-Point to Karal Chowk.

Meanwhile, the CDA has also awarded the contract for construction of I-11, H-11 link road. Work on the project will be completed within one year at a cost of Rs 400 million.
