A local leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Haji Alam Shah was gunned down at his residence by unknown assailants in Tehsil Paroda in Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday.
According to police, three unidentified armed assailants barged into the house of Alam and opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
The police have registered an FIR and started the investigation.
