Govt likely to increase oil prices in June

Oil prices are likely to go up by Rs 5.75 per litre for the coming month of June.

According to reliable sources, the federal government may approve a proposal to increase petroleum prices in line with the spike in international market.

Sources add that petrol price may be increased by Rs 1.25 per liter, high speed diesel by Rs 3.61 per liter and light diesel by Rs 2.97 per liter. The price of high octane is expected to go up by Rs 5.75 per liter.

Similarly, kerosene oil is also likely to go up by Rs 3.25 per litre. The price of crude oil in the international market is nearing USD50 per barrel.
