At least three more children died of famine in drought-hit Tharparkar on Thursday.
An outbreak of water borne and food shortage diseases continued to claim lives in Thar as children suffered deprivation of food and water in Mithi. The relief activities in the area have not been launched by the local government. The death tally has mounted to 260 while hundreds of other children are under treatment in various hospitals in Tharparkar and Mithi. The Sindh government is resorting to mere announcements while the death toll in Tharparkar is rising as four more minors died at Civil Hospital Mithi.
