At least 20 suspected persons were apprehended during search operations by Rangers and police in different areas of Karachi.
On a tip-off, Rangers and police conducted a search operation in Chakiwara area of Lyari and arrested three suspects identified as Yasir, Ram Jane and Hamesh Baloch.
The security forces also recovered weapons, hand grenades and drugs from their possession. The detainees were affiliated with Uzair Baloch gang. The suspects were involved in several cases of kidnapping for ransom, murder, murder attempt, extortion and other heinous crimes.
Meanwhile, intelligence agencies conducted raids in Lines Area, New Karachi, Sector 5-E Lyari Liaquatabad, Aziizabad, Landi, Sohrab Goth and arrested 17 suspected persons and shifted them to undisclosed locations for investigations. Weapons, ammunitions and hand grenades were recovered from their possession.
A police encounter took place in Nazimabad and a suspect, identified as Ijaz, was arrested. Police claimed that the suspect was a professional street criminal and looted citizens while his accomplice fled the scene.
