Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has directed the party and its workers to establish free drinking water camps across Sindh during the current heatwave for general public.

The PPP chairman passed these directives during a meeting with former federal minister and PPP MNA Mir Aijaz Jakhrani who called on him at Bilawal House.

Jakhrani apprised him about the sizzling heatwave across the province in absence of electricity supply as the federal government and its electricity-supplying entities had failed to provide electricity for longer period in day and night.

“Situation being created through electricity outages and load shedding of 16 to 18 hours has taken a serious turn. People may come out on streets and take law into their own hands if improvements were not made by the federal government in power supply,” Aijaz Jakhrani informed the PPP chairman.

Bilawal said that he had taken notice of the situation and already asked the federal government to ensure power supply without interruptions otherwise their party would stand together with the people suffering from outages with mercury level hitting at tormenting 51 C and unannounced load shedding.

He also directed the party workers to establish free drinking water camps in every city, town and villages to provide relief to the people.
