An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday allowed police to investigate ringleader of Lyari gang war, Uzair Baloch, in the murder case of his arch-rival Arshad Pappu and two others.
The former chief of banned Peoples Aman Commitee is in jail in a case pertaining to possessing weapons without license as the explosives substance including five rockets, one LMG, six Awan bombs were recovered from Tanker Chowrangi Garden on the identification of the accused.
On Wednesday, the police requested the administrative judge of ATC to allow them to arrest Uzair Baloch in the murder case of Arshad Pappu and his brother Yasir Arafat and aide Shera Pathan. The court accepted the police’s request and allowed them to investigate the accused in triple murder case.
The murder case was registered with Kalakot police station against Uzair and others for killing Arshad Pappu, his brother Yasir Arafat and confidant Shera Pathan in March 2013. The deceased were kidnapped on 17th of March 2013 and later murdered brutally. Earlier in January this year, the Rangers had arrested Uzair from the outskirts of Karachi when he was trying to enter the city. The Lyari gangsters’ chief remained in the custody of Abu Dhabi police for almost three months as he fled there to avoid his arrest after the launch of Karachi operation. However, it is still unclear that when and how he managed to escape from the custody UAE’s authority. Uzair was nominated and wanted by the law enforcers in several cases of murder, attempting murder and extortion.
MAN FOUND DEAD
A man was found dead with torture marks on his body in the metropolis on Wednesday.
According to rescue sources, a 35-year-old man, Tariq, son of Muhammad Sheikh, was found dead in a house with torture marks at his body in Dalmia Block-1. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.
