Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif called on Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing and discussed cooperation in different sectors including defence.
In his remarks, the Chinese premier said both the countries enjoy historical political, military and economic relations.
He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project is not only a flagship project between the two countries but it will also bring stability and development in the whole region.
He said Beijing is cooperating with Islamabad for regional peace and prosperity.
The Army Chief said Pakistan Army is ready to provide a safe environment for the CPEC.
