Shahbaz Taseer and Ali Haider Gilani met in Lahore on Saturday after their release from captivity.
Shahbaz and Ali Haider were abducted in two separate incidents in 2011 and 2013. While, Shahbaz, the son of slain Punjab governor Salman Taseer was released last month, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani’s son was released last week after three years in captivity from Afghanistan.
Shahbaz captioned the reunion as “miracles do happen,” since their recoveries were a triumph for the nation. The slain Punjab governor’s son took to Twitter to post pictures of himself as their families met to cheer each other on the recoveries.

Ali Haider – seized by militants on the outskirts of Multan on May 9, 2013 – was freed on Tuesday by Afghan and US forces during a raid on an al Qaeda cell in Afghanistan’s Paktika province.
