A few weeks after Asrar recorded a song for Nabeel Qureshi’s upcoming film Actor in Law, Atif Aslam has stepped in to sing the title track of the movie.
Music producer Shani Arshad said, “The song is basically a romantic ballad that will be picturised on the lead actors Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat.” When asked to tell the name of the song, the producer replied, “All in due time. We have chosen quite off-beat and interesting names for the songs so we want to keep it a surprise.”
The song will mark the first time that Arshad and Aslam will collaborate on a song. Regarding the experience of working alongside the Aadat-singer, Arshad stated, “It is a privilege as Atif is very selective about singing for Pakistani films and he’s only sang for Bol and Ho Mann Jahaan.”
Aside from Aslam and Asrar, other singers featuring on the Actor in Law soundtrack include Mohsin Abbas Haider and Shani Arshad. “I have also done a little playback singing for the movie and Mohsin [Abbas Haider] will also be recording a sad song.”
Expected to release on Eidul Azha later this year, the movie also marks the Pakistani film debut of legendary Indian actor, Om Puri. The movie has been produced by Fizza Ali Meerza under the banner of Filmwala Pictures.
