District Coordination Officer (DCO) Talat Mehmood Gondal has stressed the need for coordinated efforts to check the vulnerable spots and effective indoor and outdoor surveillance so that the anti-dengue measures can be made more fruitful.
The DCO while chairing a meeting, said eradication of dengue was not the only responsibility of any individual entity, but all government departments, local bodies and community would have to work together and ensure pre-emptive measures to address the issue without any delay.
He said that strict action would be taken against those showing negligence in performance of their duties.
He directed to clean graveyards, tyre shops and godowns.
