The Punjab government has decided to impose tax on domestic and commercial plots which would generate annual revenue of one billion rupees.
Sources said on Saturday that the provincial excise department has in principal decided to impose tax of Rs1000 on domestic and Rs1500 tax on commercial plots per annum.
The excise department through the decision will earn annual revenue of one billion which would be spent on public development sector.
The provincial excise department has dispatched a summary in this regard to Punjab Chief Minister for approval.
