PTI demands nomination papers of five members of Sharif family

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought nomination papers of five members of Sharif family from the Election Commission of Pakistan.

According to details, PTI representative Muhammad Madni sent a request to the Election Commission. In the request, he demanded copies of the registered nomination papers of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for NA-120. Shehbaz Sharif’s nomination papers for PP-159, Captain (r) Safdar’s nomination papers for NA-21 and Hamza Shahbaz’s nomination papers for NA-119.

The PTI representative has also requested the ECP to issue copies of documents pertaining to Ishaq Dar’s Senate technocratic seat. After investigating the nomination papers, PTI will file a petition with the ECP to take action in accordance with Article 62-63.

PTI’s Muhammad Madni stated that the details disclosed by PML-N members in their nomination papers were not in accordance with reality.

The PTI has been mounting pressure on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resign after a Panamanian tax firm’s leaked documents disclosed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s children Maryam, Hassan and Hussain held offshore companies. Charges of money laundering and tax evasion have been leveled at the PM.
