Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif has said the power shortage has been massively reduced in the country and there is zero load shedding in the industrial sector.
In an interview, he said CASA-1000 power project would help meet the energy shortage in the country.
The Minister said that CASA project would provide cheap electricity to Pakistan and most of the growing energy demand would be fulfilled through the project.
He said the stage has been set for sealing a historic accord for the supply of one thousand megawatt electricity to Pakistan by Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan via Afghanistan.
Khawaja Asif said due to the government efforts power generation of the country would reach thirty-one thousand megawatt by 2018.
