More dengue cases reported in city

As many as 31 more dengue viral fever cases have been detected in Sindh province in a week, out of which 28 were reported from Karachi, taking the patients toll to 541 in the province since 1st January 2016.

As per weekly report issued by the Dengue Prevention and Control Programme (DPCP), Sindh, at least 31 new dengue fever cases surfaced in Sindh province from 6th to 12th of May 2016, out of which 28 were reported from Karachi, one each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Dadu and Shikarpur.

A total of 28 new dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi last week, out of which 10 were reported from District Central, four from District South, three from District West, five from District East, three from District Malir and three from District Korangi.

This year a total of 541 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province since 1st January 2016, out of which 507 were detected from Karachi, seven from Hyderabad, four from Sukkur, three from Tando Muhammad Khan, two each from Thatta, Jamshoro, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, Naushero Feroz, Larkana and Shikarpur, one each from Tharparkar, Umer Kot, Sanghar, Ghotki, Khairpur and Shaheed Benazirbad.
