As many as two cleaners died due to suffocation while cleaning a gutter in city’s Korangi area on Wednesday.
According to recue sources, they were cleaning a chocked gutter near Mangal Bazaar in Korangi’s Mehran Town, when both of them died due to poisonous suffocation. Rescue team rushed to the site on information and shifted the victims to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for medico-legal formalities. The deceased were later identified as Mohsin, aged around 30, son of Yasin; and Mehmood, 36, son of Yaqoob. They were residents of Korangi area.
Karachi has been gifted with a new Commissioner and Administrater. CM Sind had issued a deadline of 15 days to clean the city Nullahs. Not one completed. Those who proudly started to clean the streets ( mostly for photo sessions) also have disappeared like ' gadhe ke sir par sing'.
