Three deportees have reached the federal capital on Thursday after they were deported from Greece.

The deportees were shifted to Pakistan using private airline flight EK-612 that landed at Benazir International Airport.

Nasrab, Javed and Ghulam Shabbir were handed over Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) anti-human trafficking cell.

Separately, two passengers Khadim Hussain and Ansar, who belong to Jhelum, were offloaded for attempting to travel to Bangkok on fake documents.

Both the culprits were handed over to Federal Investigation Agency.

Earlier in March, around 42 Pakistanis were deported from Britain.

An estimated 50,000 Pakistanis travel legally to Europe for work each year.

Pakistan, the sixth most populous country in the world, is one of the top five countries of origin for illegal migration to Europe, according to figures from the European statistical institute Eurostat.

Around 630,000 people have illegally entered Europe last year, more than half of them landing in Greece.
