At least three terrorists belonging to a banned outfit were apprehended in a joint operation in Karachi’s Manghopir area on Wednesday.
The security personnel including police and personals from intelligence agency on a tip off conducted raid and arrested three suspects.
Sources said that three militants identified as Ahmed Jameel Mughal alias Fahadullah Fahad, Saqib alias Haji Yaqoob and Farhan are allegedly involved in attacks on security and NATO forces in Pakistan and Afghanistan. They were also said to be behind the terrorist incidents and attacks on police officers in Karachi.
The officers seized weapons including 9mm pistol and hand grenade from suspect’s possession.
The arrested men have been transferred to undisclosed location for further interrogation, sources said.
