Security forces on a tip-off carried out an operation in Kadvi Lane area of Lyari Kalakot on Monday night and arrested a key gang war commander.
An exchange of fire between the gang war accused, hiding in the area, and the raiding party also took place after which the security forces captured gang war commander Fahim Commando and also recovered arms from his possession.
Sources informed media that Fahim Commando remained member of different gang war groups and was wanted in several cases of heinous crimes.
Meanwhile, a gang war accused was apprehended in injured condition after an encounter with police in Karachi’s Rizvia area on late Monday night.
According to details, Rizvia police took into custody gang war accused Haris alias Fauji after an encounter and recovered arms from his possession while his accomplice Adnan managed to escape from the spot.
Police sources informed that Haris alias Fauji was busy in collecting extortion money from traders of Rizvia Market. They further informed that Haris was a commander of Shahid Bikak group of Lyari gang war. It is pertinent to mention here that Shahid Bikak is a key accused in attack on MQM leader Rashid Godil.
