PM Nawaz, Army Chief General Raheel congratulate Gilani on son’s return

Former prime minister Gillani received felicitations after a call from the ambassador of Afghanistan to Pakistan, informed him that his son, Haider Gillani was recovered in a successful operation in Afghanistan.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated Yousuf Raza Gilani upon the recovery of his son from Afghanistan and his imminent reunion with the family once he returns to the country.

Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif also telephoned Yousuf Raza Gilani and expressed his felicitations on the occasion, said a Bilawal House spokesperson, adding that Gilani thanked the army chief for the gesture.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, while congratulating the former prime minister, said that the news was overwhelming.

Members of the Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) rushed to Yousuf Raza Gilani’s residence in Multan shortly after they received news of Ali Gilani’s recovery.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was the first to announce Ali Gillani’s return, on Twitter Tuesday.

In his twitter message, he thanked God for recovery of Ali Haider Gilani.

Participants present at the PPP rally today at Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Bagh area started celebrating.

The members of the Taseer family, Asifa Bhutto Zardari, and others also congratulated the Gilani family.
