Only two players get 20 points in fitness test

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday has prepared fitness report of the players participated in the camp held in Lahore.

According to details, only two players Fawad Alam and Mohammad Rizwan were able to pass the test by achieving 20 points in yo-yo test.

Umar Akmal got lowest numbers i.e. 16 while betterment has been observed in the performances of Shoaib Malik and Wahab Riaz.

Newly-elected Twenty20 captain Sarfraz Ahmed was incapable of maintaining his previous fitness level.

Saeed Ajmal, Shoaib Maqsood and Zulfiqar Babar were found inefficient in completing the test.

Younus Khan, Anwar Ali, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, Sami Aslam received perfect fitness reports whereas one-day international captain Azhar Ali, Ahmed Shehzad, Asad Shafiq, Junaid Khan, Rahat Ali and Imran Khan were declared average players.

Tests of Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Hafeez, Yasir Shah, Umar Amin, Mohammad Irfan, Imad Wasim and Haris Sohail will also be conducted soon.

The authorities would categorise the players for the central contract by keeping in view their fitness results.
